I was actually kind of embracing the moments alone with her and then again needing a shoulder to cry on when she was crying. We have one tough little girl because she was not going to go down without a fight. When I would "try" and put her down for naps in the crib it was a battle. She would cry for at least an hour, with me going in there every 15 to 20 minutes to soothe with a pacifier or to change a wet diaper. She has not slept for more than 30 minutes alone in her crib during the day. And of course not without crying for a while either. It has definitely been a test of wills and patience. My heart has broken so many times and the pain of hearing her sob is almost unbearable.
Now we had our very first full night in the crib and it went better than I imagined. Took her about 30 minutes to actually fall asleep and woke up once for about 35 minutes. Never cried out loud, but did make small noise. And did not make the whole 10 hours but last about 9. Hoping tonight she won't wake up for so long.
Just need to work on nap time.
As for her 4 month doctor visit, it went very well. Stats:
Weight: 12.6 (a whole pound more than the doctor anticipated!)
Height: 25.25 inches (only grew 2.25)
Head Size: 40 cm (only grew 1.5)
We have a petite girl ya'll, but healthy so I'll take it! She also took her next round of shots like a champion! Cried the minutes they were administered but the moment I picked her up, she stopped and look around and gave me a look that said, "what just happened mom ?". So proud of her! We also asked about when we should give her solids and our pediatrician recommended on waiting until 6 months due to her just getting over her acid reflux. Also she said that baby's digestive system is still growing so introducing solids may cause more problems so for the time being lets give her a little more time. And I agree whole heartedly :-)
Here is some pictures of Little O!
Smiles on both of our faces after a 2 hr nap!
Helping daddy work. Or more like distracting him!
She is more aware of pups and wants to touch them!
Umm Beckham not too happy about it!
How she seems comfortable!
Not sure if you can tell, but she apparently likes to take all the bed for herself!
