Ok ya'll get ready for a picture-overload.  We bought a good camera last summer in anticipation of our little penguin coming!  I had yet to use it for that reason :(
SO finally I remembered to use it and have it on hand more often.  So here are some real good, clear pictures of my little O!

6 Month Update!

6 MONTHS!!  Ahhh!!  I can't believe my baby penguin is 6 months old!!  She has grown so much but at the same time she is still so petite!  :)

We had our six month doctor check up and I was very anxious for this one.  My little O had been real sick from a stomach virus 5 days prior to the visit.  She seemed better that day but I still had some concerns and wanted her to get checked out.  Overall the appointment went very well and we were given a ton of information.  We have some big milestones coming up like FOOD!!  I was suppose to try and feed her before we had our appointment but due to her stomach virus we held off.  Our pediatrician was real nice and gave us a lot of advice on food, she even wrote most of it down since it was a lot to take in!  She also answered all of our questions, and boy did we have a lot because apparently my little penguin has her first diaper rash and first sign of a little eczema on her skin!  So we had a lot of information to take in and things to learn about.  Thank goodness I have a good group of moms who are dear friends.  I blew up their phone with a ton of text messages and maybe some phone calls, asking for advice!  So blessed in that area!  I truly do have some amazing mom-friends in my corner :)

As for Little O's stats here they are:

Weight : 13.11 ( I think if she had not been sick and not eating so little she would of been 14)

Height :  25.75 inches

Head Size : 42 cm

Baby Clothes

As most of you know, or can tell from all the photos I post, I am a little obsessed with baby clothes.  I must admit when we found out we were having a little girl, I knew I was going to be in trouble.  I had always told my husband that once we had a baby he would notice I would not be spending on myself so much but would focus on spending for the baby and boy have I!!  :)
She is just so fun to shop for and there are some great options out there.  The hardest thing is sizing.  Every store has their idea of what size is appropriate for what age.  After having a lot of hit and misses with sizes here is my personal opinion on how things fit.  Please not this how they fit on my little one.  She tends to be long but petite in the hip/abdomen area so this is how things fit on her.

Gap Baby - tends to always run big. Especially for pants/shorts/bloomers/long onesies/footed onesies/ swimsuits  The exception to this is their non-pant onesies fit pretty true to size and their dresses.

J. Crew Baby - fits pretty true to size in my opinion.  Love their stuff from their Nature line and how soft and comfy it feels.

Peek Kids - love this line too.  Fits pretty true to size as well, except for bottoms again, tend to be a little big.

Tea Collection - fits true as well.

Carters - fits pretty true to size.

The most common thing I have found in all these is that rompers (pretty popular during spring/summer) tend to fit big and baggy in stomach area so I get size small because Little O tends to be petite in that area.

Again these are just some of my favorite brands there are ton out there!!

Small Milestone

We decided to get her ears pierced and it was not an easy decision to come to but I am so glad we did it!  It was pretty simple once we got it done but choosing a place and deciding the placement of the earrings was nerve-wrecking.
We ended up choosing a place called Piercing Pagoda because the woman there was knowledgable and it was obvious to us she had experience.  It happened quickly, as she promised, and Little O cried but once I soothed her with a pacifier she was fine.  In fact she passed out on the ride home.
