Two Month Update

I am trying to be better about doing this more accurately so please bear with me.
Our little penguin has turned 2 months!!  I know they keep telling us time flies by and those first four weeks seemed so long but now I do feel that time is flying.  She has been such a changing force in our lives.  And I truly mean that in the most positive way possible.  I have learned the deep and true meaning of selflessness with her.  All her needs come before anything else and I would not have it any other way.  I was watching Oprah interview Drew Barrymore recently about being a mom & she said it was like having the most intense crush on a person.  I completely agree, especially when she put it in the way, "I get butterflies when I am on my way home to her.  I cannot wait to see her & I wonder if she misses me & is she going to call me?  I cannot wait to hold her and I have to get home as soon as I can." (not word for word but that is close to what she was saying).  It is hard to put into words how much love you feel to this little tiny human you helped bring into the world, but I am going to try every day of our lives to tell her and show her just how much I love her.

My little penguin is sure growing fast!  I can't believe how much she has grown in the last 8 weeks but it is pure joy watching her grow & cherishing every moment of her being this small!  

I will admit the last 4 weeks have been rough, since our little one has bad acid reflux (a.k.a. colic) and it is not easy on either one of us.  It is tough seeing you baby in pain and not being able to fix it right away!  However there have been some things that have helped & other things that I just think every mom should have no matter what!  Here is my list of my must haves:

1.  Fisher Price Lamb Rock 'n Play Sleeper 

2. Stork Craft Tuscany Glider

3. Boppy

4. Dr. Brown's Bottle Warmer & Bottles

5. 4moms Mamaroo

6. White noise, we use either the Cloud B Sleep Lamb or the music from the Mamaroo

7. Our Pac 'n Play with Changing table

8.  Boogie Wipes (especially this time of the year with all the cedar in the air!)

9.  Baby Connect App, great for keeping tack of all things baby!

10.  SwaddleMe Wraps, because she loves to be swaddle & hard for her to wiggle out of!

One Month Update

I can't believe it has been one month since our little penguin has been born!  We have learned so much from her already & I am constantly amazed by her!  I know I have heard it before and I believed it, but still the love I feel for her consumes me all the time.  I feel so grateful to have her in my life and to know that she and I are forever connected.  Here are some cute pictures I have taken & some more from her newborn photo shoot, I don't want to overload on here but she is just so darn cute!
