7 months

7 months, 30 weeks, 213 days, 5,112 hours of pure love & joy our baby penguin has brought to our lives.  She is so special to us and I cannot believe how fast time feels to be flying by.
I say feel because that is how it is with her.  I feel so many things because of this tiny human we created.  I have never felt life as I feel it now as a parent.  I see and feel things so differently now.  Not even mentioning the hormonal-emotional roll coaster you are on as a mom, but just being Miss Olivia Noelle's mom has opened a whole new range of emotions.  But that is a whole other post for another time.
My little, baby girl is growing faster than I can keep track of.  The biggest thing for me at the moment is her weight.  I really want to know what she weighs.  We imagine it is somewhere in the 15 to 16 range by how she feels in our arms now.  Of course we can be way off in either direction, but we know she has grown so much since her last doctor's check up at 6 months.
Besides weight, I feel once they turn 6 months it is game on!  You start introducing solids, you hope to get more 12 hours of sleep during the night, for them not you, teething really begins, and holy moly the noises she makes now is incredible!  I really feel like every sound that comes out of her is a miracle, at least to me it is!  I sit back and think, "This tiny human was inside of me and here she is now talking, WOW!!".  Every thing she does is amazing to me and I am in constant awe of her.
Ok enough mushy stuff lets get to some facts!
She has 2 bottom front teeth!
She has said the word, "MaMa" (but I don't think she understands the meaning)
She sits up so well!
She really, really wants to crawl but not there yet!
She smiles and she reaches for me (my heart melts every time and it never gets old)
She grabs onto me and will actually hold me (again heart melts)
She is eating solids, mostly vegetables like sweet potatoes, carrots, squash (did not want anything to do with oatmeal).
She is curious about everything, especially our dogs!
She is a water baby!
She is a rolie-polie, loves to roll everywhere if we would let her!
She loves to people-watch!

There you have it, and I hope I didn't miss anything!  She just is growing and learning so much right now, she truly is a little sponge.  :)
And of course some pictures of our little penguin!

Here is our little Spurs Fan!

She always gets a kick out of seeing her reflection!

Big Changes.
I know it has been a while since I have last blog but we have been going through some big changes in our household.  Our baby penguin is growing by leaps and bounds!  I can't believe she will be turning 7 months this Sunday!!!  Time please slow down, please!
I am not sure of her weight, but I can pretty much guarantee she is well in the 14 + pound range.  After she got over a pretty bad stomach virus she ate like a champ, I am talking 8oz plus bottles every feeding!  Now she is back to eating between 5 to 8 oz, depending on the time of day and how long the stretch is between bottles.  We recently introduced her to solids.
We first tried oatmeal and let me tell you she was not having it!  Screamed and cried the first couple of attempts.  Did not want anything to do with it!  The next week I just decided to try a a vegetable, sweet potatoes, and we finally found a winner.  It was not easy at first but she did not fight it as much as she did with the oatmeal.  Now we have moved onto squash and she is loving it.  I did try peas, but the texture was different so she did not show that much interest in it.  She is very cute when she eats, we call her a baby bird b/c she is waiting with her mouth open for the next bite!  If we are not fast enough, sometimes she keeps her mouth open and will try to eat the little plastic table on her high-chair!
And that is the next big thing, she sits in high-chair!!!  We first tried it a restaurant and she did so well in it we got one of our own!  She likes it and she looks like such a big girl in it!
More changes have been happening but I will go into more in her 7 month blog!

Here are some pictures of her, enjoy!
